In 2013, Kerri-Anne co-founded the consultancy Edge Effect, where she gathers user stories and perspectives about our environment and weaves this mātauranga with the science as a foundation for authentic engagement.
In 2014, she was appointed by the Minister for the Environment as a Fiordland Marine Guardian and in 2018 received a Leadership Scholarship from the Community Trust of Southland in 2018 for her work with and on behalf of the local community.
